Naaya Studio Wins Lighting Brand at the TOI Home & Decor Awards 2026

Some milestones deserve a moment of pause.

We are grateful to share that Naaya Studio has been recognised as the winner of the Lighting Brand category at the TOI Home & Decor Awards 2026.

The awards were held on 28 September 2026 at the Hyatt Regency, Delhi, bringing together designers, architects, brands and professionals from across India's home and design ecosystem.

For Naaya, the evening was a meaningful moment for something that has largely been built quietly through clay, kilns, experiments, mistakes, iterations and many hours in the studio.

A recognition of the work behind the light

At Naaya Studio, lighting begins long before a fixture is installed in a space.

It begins with developing a ceramic form, understanding how the material behaves, experimenting with how light moves through and around it, refining proportions and finishes, and then making each piece through a process that cannot simply be rushed.

Over the years, we have continued to explore what ceramic can bring to lighting, not only as a material for a lampshade, but as a medium for form, texture, warmth and atmosphere.

This recognition is therefore meaningful to us because it reflects a little of the work that happens behind every finished piece.

A moment for the people who make Naaya

Our founders, Nitu and Neeraj, received the award in Delhi.

But this recognition belongs to more than the two people standing on the stage.

It belongs to our studio team, who work through the making, finishing, firing, packing and countless details that go into every piece.

It also belongs to the architects and interior designers who bring our lights into their projects, to customers who choose handcrafted ceramic lighting for their homes, and to the collaborators who have trusted us with their ideas and spaces.

Without that trust, Naaya would simply be a collection of objects.

With it, the work becomes part of people's spaces and stories.

From a Bangalore studio to spaces around the world

Naaya Studio began in Bangalore with a simple curiosity about what could happen when ceramic and light came together.

Since then, the journey has taken our work into homes, hospitality spaces, restaurants, commercial projects and design-led interiors in different parts of the world.

The journey has not always been straightforward. Building a design and manufacturing studio around a handmade material comes with its own challenges from developing forms and processes to making them consistently at scale while retaining the character of something made by hand.

That is still the work we care about.

And there is still much more we want to explore.

We are thankful to the TOI Home & Decor Awards for this recognition and to everyone who has been part of the journey so far. The awards recognise brands and work across India's evolving home and design ecosystem, with Lighting Brand among the Products & Brands categories.

For us, this is a moment to pause, look back and celebrate what has been built before getting back to the studio and continuing to make.
