Rose Wabi-Sabi Ceramic Pendant Light
A sculptural ceramic pendant inspired by the movement of a rose bud, shaped by imperfection, light and hand.
ROSE is a handcrafted sculptural ceramic pendant light inspired by the layered silhouette of a rose bud. Rather than recreating petals literally, Naaya Studio translates their natural movement into flowing, meandering waves carved across the ceramic surface.
Rooted in the principles of wabi-sabi design, ROSE embraces irregularity rather than symmetry. The carved lines are intentionally organic, some rise, some disappear, overlap or change direction creating a form that feels naturally evolved rather than mechanically repeated.
A pendant that changes as you move. ROSE is designed to reveal something different from every angle. The sculpted ridges catch daylight differently as you move around the pendant, creating constantly shifting highlights and shadows. Once illuminated, the open lower edge directs a warm, focused pool of light downward, while the surrounding ceramic form creates a soft, tactile presence.
This interplay between sculpture and illumination makes ROSE more than a functional light, it becomes a distinctive design element within the space.
Handmade ceramic, intentionally imperfect
Each ROSE pendant is individually crafted in clay at Naaya Studio. Subtle variations in surface, proportion and firing are inherent to the making process and complement the deliberately irregular character of the design.
No two surfaces read exactly the same.
ROSE is not a pattern repeated around a form. It is a form that keeps changing as you move around it.
